First Steps!! November 2009

She started to walk a few steps but couldnt make it beyond that. We went to visit friends in LA and Anya was obsessed with Maya Swarzberg's IKEA walker (she never would use the walker we had in our apartment - this one was the perfect size). After a day of incessant use, Anya was able to take more than 3 steps on her own. She started to walk all over Hena and Jeremy's apartment and even rounded the corner!

October 14, 2008 - Anya's umbilical cord finally fell of after two weeks and we can put her in onesies!

Anya only liked to sleep in her swing - at night too - until about 12 weeks!

Maybe it was the eggplant parm - 9/28/08

After trying pretty much every wives tale method for inducing labor (walking, acupuncture, spicy food,, etc…) we ended leaving the city to visit our family where shortly thereafter Kim’s water broke. After a very eventful labor, we welcomed our little girl, Anya Grace Berkowitz, to the world. She was born weighing 6 lbs 10 ounces, measuring 20 ¼ inches, on September 28th at 9:08 pm.

Though she has Bayer hair, and Kim’s cute little ear fold, she has Jon’s nose and lips. But we can’t figure out where she got the cleft in her chin from! We are already in love and are so excited to learn more about her. We can’t wait for you to meet her.
